I can only tell you what my mother told our adopted daughter. Mothers that have a child don't get any choice. But adoptive mothers get to pick out their child. Therefore "you" are a pick of the litter!

Wanda, No one is worthless in the eyes of God. Jesus died for you! Does that mean you think Jesus wasted His death. NO! Never! He died for you because you are important to Him and He loves you. Dwell in God's word and see what He has done for you. Not what He is going to do, but what He has already done. There are so many promises to those that will read His Word, accept His Son and live a righteous life (not perfect, but forgiven).

I used to be kind of like that. Sometimes I would ask God for things but most often I would feel to worthless for Him to ever listen to me and want to respond, or ever do anything for me. Well, that all changed last week when He saved my life.

Many people think of prayer to God as a one way thing. "Gimme gimme, gimme" They never think to listen to God or to thank Him for what He has done. The Bible says He lives is the worship and praises of His people. So when I want Him nearer to me, I worship and praise Him. When one starts realizing all God has done for us, it is much harder to use Him as a cash register. Instead one will begin to thank God for all He has done for us!

I'm doing better they did an injection in my back a few days ago, it's starting to help a litte more. I have ddd, degenerative disc disease, and the pain is horrible. The Lord helps me so much every day, sometimes I want to do more so I try the pain meds. Sometimes I wonder why God talks to me at all, then he lets me know its because I'm listening to him.
