Hi,
I too believe that we need to think on positive things. All of the
negative that is around can really bring a person down.
1. In my childhood the people that I really looked up to were my
paternal grandparents. When I was little I would stay with them at their
farm. I could always count on their love and support. There were always
new adventures to be had whether it would be exploring my grandmother' s
flower gardens or the smell of lunch cooking around noon. When I was 4
they bought a place closer to town. Mom and Dad bought a mobile home and
put it on the property. (The house that I am living in today.) So, they
were always living right next door. They instilled in me a good work
ethic and to treat others as you would want to be treated.
2.My favorite pet as a child was our dog Princess. She reminded me of a
Doxie mix. She followed me wherever I went. It was a sad day when the
school bus accidentally hit her coming home from school.
3. The miracles that God has performed for me during my life time are
many. Most of them dealt with cars and hills. Back in 1983 I was
pregnant with my oldest daughter and my car broke down on a hill going
to my Mom and Dad's. God sent a family along to help me get the car up
the hill and a safe place to get it off of the road. The family then,
took the time to take me out to my mom and dad's which was miles out of
the way. Several years later I ran out of gas on a hill and HE provided
the gas for me to get home. Again on the same hill my car broke down, HE
helped me back the car up down the hill after dark without getting hit.
The winter of 1984 I hit a slick spot on a hill and was doing 360's, as
soon as I got the car going the right way, a semi came up the hill. HE
has spared my life on many occasions. There were times when my husband
could have killed me with his bare hands, but didn't.
I know that each one of us has our own life story. Would love to read
yours.
God Bless,
MaryC

great and if not that is ok too. I was just thinking it would be nice to
get to know one another better for those of us that are sort of the
lurkers.

unconditionally and always knew it and felt it. I was never expected to
be anything but myself and I loved every minute I got to spend with
them.

so awesome. I loved him and all the little quirks in his personality. He
was protective of our family and of kids. He was a gentle giant that I
will always miss.

very abusive. He had me write a suicide note to my family and was going
to kill me. He shot the gun first into the ceiling of the house (why I
am not sure) and then he went to pull the trigger on me and the gun
jammed. Even though I knew little about God back then it was a miracle.
Another time was a few years back and my son was driving my car around
the yard and he had my youngest in the car with him and I had fallen
asleep and all of the sudden Zech came running in the house and told me
he had crashed my car into a barn and he thought my youngest son was
dead because he did not answer Zech when he yelled. In a complete panic
I ran out the door to see my youngest bawling walking to the house. He
was all bruised from the air bag but alive. God gave me a miracle that
day too.
