[Church_of_Christ] Re: Can you guess?
Indeed; invocation of "history and tradition" has always been problematic in our churches. After all, we - or, more aptly, our religious forebearers - decided to organize themselves in rejection of what others insisted was ordained by "tradition and history."
It is but a small step, then, to ourselves equate "tradition and history" with "gospel" and the problem then renews itself.
