Clay: Not sure what I am to conclude from this text Bro Ed. But It seems to me they would do well to return to the pattern of their past of following commandments as Moses did, except for the rock, stick and water thing.
ED: Just responding to your claims when they don't represent the facts.
Clay: Jesus said "IF" you love me, you will keep my commandments. Commandments are what we are to follow and obey it seems to me. . . . Examples minus Commands is nothing more than HISTORY.
ED: Had God given us abstract commands as the Ten Commands with no historical context we would indeed be left to commands. But God revealed his will historically; first in the person of Jesus, then in the teaching and actions of the apostles and early Christians.
