I understand your question and it is a reasonable question.

I'll not speak for Bro Robert, but offer a little common sense.

If we were at the crucifixion I am sure we all would be have been distrait especially if we really didn't believe Him after Jesus taught them: that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. Mark 8:31

Now what would you and I do Kent when we too went to the tomb?

Would we act as if our favorite team member just "SMACKED" a home
run to win the world series or be depressed and sad faced because
He died this past Friday?

We assemble on Sunday to do what?

Seems to me, many of us with our long faces would best assemble on Friday and mourn His death. Now that makes since to me.

Since we are NEVER COMMANDED to assemble on Sunday and we know the
NT followers assembled daily, that would include Fridays, perhaps some might consider doing that and eat the Lord's supper then in mourning.

But I will not be divisive over the matter.

What ever our elders determines best for the body at Joelton I will gladly yield to their leadership of example.
