ED: No question that our worship is to be "in spirit" but to use that as if it contradicts "in truth" is abuse of scripture. "In truth" means in harmony with God's word, his revealed will. And there are what you call "rituals" of worship: "sing" is one, the LS is another.

Bro Ed seems to me you my Bro are the one that cannot produce "truth"
from the word were followers are commanded to assemble for worship
on any particular day and to do any specific act.

If you were capable of doing that, I suspect you would have posted
it by now, which you have not, and I would not be teaching truth in opposition to your man made law that "Commands" a "weekly ritual"
of completing 5 ritual acts weekly. Seems to me my Bro it is you
that ignore the truth of the scriptures and have resorted to teaching commandments of "MEN" Now you could put an end to this back in forth
"IF" you but would offer scriptual proof that God commands us to assemble for a physical worship similiar to what the Jews were commanded to do.

You are coreect that the Lord did not call them rituals, simply
because he did not command us to repeat them over and over and over, Sunday after Sunday after Sunday in a realistic manner as the Jews were required under LAW to perform.

I sing and I take the Lord's supper at every opportunity the elders see fit for us to do so and I too eat and drink of the supper as often it is offered to the congregation.

I do it so as not to cause division in the body.
I would do so if the Lord commanded such and ignore the elders, but the Lord never commands such and so I partake of it in freedom,

ED: You stretch Romans 14 as if it was one of those new trash bags; something you can stuff anything in. But I am afraid the Lord is not so GLAD with this bag use. What is clear is that Romans 14 is about "doubtful matters", 14:1. It was never intended to be stretched to include "must" matters. And "worship in spirit and in truth" is a "must" matter.

You came to the right conclusion but are misleading in your remarks.
Yes we are are to worship in Spirit and TRUTH Bro Ed. Why imply I don't accept that since that is what scripture says?

Now if you STUCK to spirit and truth and STOP misleading followers to
wrongly believe they are under law to ritually perform 5 acts over and over and over, Sunday after Sunady after Sunady as if somehow doing it ritually is more pleasing to God that doing so freely in spirit and in truth.

What the Lord has joined together, let not man put assunder. The
Lord joined "true worship" with "must be in spirit and truth" and
no amount of traversing to territories of freedom in judgment
(Romans 14) will reverse or circumvent what the Lord had said.
