Yes you have presented a twisted conclusion of what the text says
and you have religiously stuck with your "founding" Fathers od the CoC/SOF.
I might add in all honesty it hasn't changed one IOTA since Campbell suggested thate we TAKE examples of a freed peoples "living" their daily walk with the Lord in fellowship one with the other, randomly
chose text that fit Catholic light and have stuck with them.
All denominations do similiar and "defend the faith" of their "founding fathers" of their indivdual denominations.
All I ask is we go back simply to the Bible and speak where it speaks
and NOT turn freely lived examples into rules and commandments of men
and reunite the Body that Jesus died for, pushing down all of our various signs out front and becoming one in Christ through love.
Isn't what Paul taught?
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; (I am of Campbell) and I of Apollos: (I of Luther) and I of Cephas; ( I of Calvin) and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?
14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, save Crispus and Gaius;
15 lest any man should say that ye were baptized into my name.
16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.
18 For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.
As you can see Bro Ed men have been dividing the body of Christ for over 2000 years.
Don't you think it's time to go back to the Bible and teach what Paul taught?
