[Church_of_Christ] Re: Spiritual gifts

Hi there,

I read the following paragraph and shuddered:

>Concerning the third method, that of earnestly desiring and/or praying >for spiritual gifts, strictly speaking, I do not know of any instance >in which we have a record of this actually happening. We only have the >record of apostolic instruction for doing so.

When did examples become God?

Instruction is more important and a higher level of authority than example. Plus, example has no authority in matters where there is no instruction. Here is a classic example of hermeneutic difference and foundational error causing people to miss God entirely.
