Family of God: [FamilyofGod] prayer requests - solar energy and Ph.D. at Stanford

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As you know, the whole world is literally falling

apart. Honestly, I can make a lot more money

if I pursue analog/RF or digital IC design. I do

not care about making money. In 50 years, I am

worried that our friends and family may not have

a future to look forward to. I am scared and

worried that billions of lives will lost over the

world wide shortage of oil in 50 years. I want

to study at Stanford University to get my Ph.D.

in solar energy device physics in the materials

science and engineering department. I am hoping

what I will learn at Stanford can save lives.

As engineers, we have a greater responsibility

than just making a lot of money. We have talent

and we need to share and show our talent to

others so that they can use knowledge for the

betterment of mankind.

My forecasts are extremely grim. I just want to

do something about it before the world collaspes.

I worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for

one year. There are many engineers and scientists

who agree with me in terms of this forecasts.

Last, I want to do missions for 2 years after I

quit my job at Samsung. I need your support

and good wishes that I will quit my job after I make

a successful product at Samsung within 4 to 6

years. If I leave my job at Samsung, then I fear

that my colleagues will be greatly disappointed

in me. I think you know why. I need to make a

product.

1. Please pray for my mother, father, and younger brother
Richard that they will worship our Jesus as their Savior and
Lord.

2. Please also pray that they will also realize both money
invested and time invested building relationships with
people for God's glory is eternal.

3. Please pray that my father will not have any serious heart
problems after he had his heart attack on September 1, 2001.

4. Please pray for my success at Samsung by publishing
more papers and patents. Please pray for my health by losing
more weight and by exercising 4 times per week.

5. Please pray that I will tame my foolish tongue in terms of
arguing with my father, mother, and younger brother related to
the Bible, church, God, finances, and other issues of pride.
