People tend to have selfish motives for doing things. We usually want to gratify ourselves and we seek out things that might aid that process. However, God calls us to be self-sacrificing. Ruth decided to follow Naomi into an unknown land because God called her to do that. She didn¡¦t think about how it would affect her and how it might reduce her chances of pursuing any further plans of love. She simply followed Naomi without knowing what God would do and how God would aid her. In my own life, I decided, just now, to follow God and go to church with my dad next Sunday, and the Sundays after that. Normally, I would simply seek my own and not follow God, but He can change people. After reading the story of Ruth, I realized that God is calling me to obey Him. This is the last Sunday that I will be attending my old church. Since Ruth received many blessings for following God, who knows what I¡¦ll receive. I have wanted to work to stabilize their nursery. Perhaps God may want me there.
¡§Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.¡¨ Ruth 1: 17. Keep walking on the right path and you can never go wrong. Breathe easy friendsƒº
