Sorry I haven't posted for a while. I was consumed by worry and doubt over job/work.
Today.. I really spilled by guts to my husband about the prideful attitude I had in preparing
to take the police dispatcher tests coming up, and pressing on to send out more resumes!
I wasn't living in HIS word or trusting HIS ways... Until today - the Holy Spirit knocked me
upside the head to sincerely trust with a whole heart. Now I know, I had so much chatter
from the devil.
I have a passionate longing to help many of the men and women who come back from the
front lines of battle in Iraq and Afghanistan - ones that suffer deeply with post traumatic stress
disorder, missing legs, arms, severe burns, etc...
So Dave Roever came to speak at our church today, He is a Vietnam Vet who had 3rd degree burns over 88% percent of his entire body. His face is severely disfigured, but not is heart! He is on FIRE for Jesus Christ, that he is helping these men and women that come back with the brutal scars of WAR!
I could not stop crying as this touched my heart right down to the very core of my soul.
He goes to the front lines to encourage, pray diligently and offer support for the troops
that are protecting our United States of America.
I was able to meet Dave - tears just rolled down our eyes as I "thanked him, and told him
how much I appreciated the Holy Spirit working thru him"!
What a blessing he is to thousands of our military. Please continue to pray for our troops over in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the ones that come home broken.
O' BTW...our senior Pastor resigned! What a day!!
