Today's Promise God Of Families Dear Friend, The Almighty God is known as the "God of Families" (Jeremiah 31:1). The Lord is concerned about every member of your family because He loves your family.
The Bible speaks of a rich tax collector called Zacchaeus. The people looked down upon him and called him a sinner because he was a tax collector. Being a tax collector he would have dealt unjustly with the people in collecting tax; he would have taken bribes and that's why the people called him sinner. When he heard that the Lord Jesus Christ was passing through Jericho, he eagerly climbed a sycamore tree to see Him because he was a short man and a large crowd had gathered to see Him.
When the Lord came to the place where Zacchaeus was, He looked up and said, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house." Surprised, he came down and happily took Jesus home. Zacchaeus repented of his sins and said, "Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I will restore fourfold." He who was living a sinful life became a son of God in a moment and the Lord blessed him. That day the Lord changed the curse, hatred that was on him and his household to joy and honour (Luke 19: 1-10).
Dear Friend, you may be looked down upon or be despised by every one in life. But cheer up because today the Lord will bless you with joy, honour and blessings.
Once, a lady said , "My husband and I were living happily together when my neighbour started giving us problems. He said that our house belonged to him and he was the owner. The people started looking down upon us. Adding fuel to the fire, he filed a case against us and my husband would often go to court regarding this. The case was dragging and we lost all our joy and peace. My husband died in agony and now I had to go to court on summons which was very embarrassing for me. It was at that time I happened to watch the a Jesus calls T.V. program and the brother was praying for the people who were unable to enjoy the blessing of living in their homes and who lost their peace and joy by court cases. He prayed that the Lord should grant viewers who were entangled in such court cases, victory and grant them grace to enjoy the blessing of living in their home. As I was listening, the Spirit of God descended on me mightily! I got new hope that I have the Heavenly Father who would give me victory. What a wonder! Within a week, the judge gave the verdict in favour of us and said that the land and the house belonged to us!"
Yes Friend, the God of families loves your family and is concerned about your family. Seek Him as a family. The Lord Who blessed the life of Zacchaeus and his household and who did justice to the lady in the above incident will also bless you and your household and do justice to you. The Bible says, "He will bless those who fear the Lord, both small and great (Psalm 115:13). Seek the Lord in reverential fear. Then the good Lord shall cause His goodness and mercy to follow you now and all your life.

Loving Lord Jesus,
I praise You that You love families and care for every member. Lord, I surrender myself and my family into Your loving hands. Be the head of my family and lead us. Surround us with Your love and goodness. Let no weapon of the enemy prosper against us. Draw us close to you and lead us in Your Everlasting Way. I give You all glory, honour and praise,
