I had submitted a hardship request to my Supervisors for review, seeking to be put on day shift so that I can be home for my youngest daughter whcih has the potential to cause some serious problems without proper adult supervision. Well my Unit Director denied the request and also my request for a transfer to another unit that can accomodate my situation. Her reasons for denying my request have to do with her image and the amount of employees seeking to transfer out because they do not like her or the environment. However my request only comes because of this particular hardship and only because all the day positions in our unit are filled. After denying me (on paper) she has even had the curtousy of speaking with me nor looking me in the eye. Only the Assistant Unit Director has spoken with me regarding this and he is very sympathetic about my situation. I sense, becuase of what he has said and what another superviosor has said in regards to a conversation with him about this, that he is going to find a way to get me transfered or help in some way. The transfer would be good for me in many respects because I won't be working with some of my prejudice co-workers who have tried to get me fired based upon their own jealousy, and I will be working in the same unit as my husband. We won't work together of course but perhaps this is God's doing since we are seperated, in any event, I will treat my husband as a co-worker and equal and not as my lover... totally professional. Please pray about all of this and for God to prepare the way for me and my family in Jesus' name. Thank you.
