You know what? Y'all are right, And I know what I need to do now. Last night something strange happened to me, well, not really strange but, new and different. we were having dinner at a friends house and after, we watched a movie all about God's love, forgiveness and acceptance. It was on the Jesus movement. And one story that was told, made me stop in my tracks because I could easily even then put myself in his place. It felt like his story could just as easily be mine just with a few minor adjustments. Right then, God showed me why. I had walked away from God as my first love and the whole reason I exsist. I wanted Him to show me His love so badly, but wouldn't let Him close enough to show me. I wasn't answering the knock on my heart. Well, July 29 at 10:27 P.M. I finally listened and opened the door and asked Him to clean me up, wash me and set my feet on the right path. I've come Home.
There is no greater love than this, to give up your life willingly for others.

WHEN THE THOUGHT COMES TO MIND, LET THE DEVIL KNOW THAT YOU HAVE FORGIVEN THIS GUY. RECEIVE THE FORGIVENESS THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU AND LET THAT OLE RASCAL KNOW THAT YOU ARE FORGIVEN FOR YOUR SINS, YOU HAVE FORGIVEN WHOEVER, AND YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE KING WHO REIGNS IN YOU. THEN PRAISE GOD FOR DELIVERING YOU FROM THE PAIN AND THE THOUGHTS OF THE EVENT. GOD IS YOUR DELIVERER AND YOU WILL NOT BE HELD IN BONDAGE BECAUSE OF SOMETHING SOMEONE DID TO YOU. SISTER GIRL YOU ARE FREE FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN AND DEATH. NOW WALK IN THE LIBERTY IN CHRIST HAS MADE YOU FREE. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO I PATRICIA

I know what you mean Barbara, I still struggle to forgive my ex fiance for raping me but... verbally, I have and that is the first step, even if you have to keep repeating it to yourself and resisting the enemy a thousand times until your heart follows. I know one day my heart will follow what I speak, so I keep on speaking even though I see nothing yet. There is no greater love than this, to give up your life willingly for others.

Yes it is important to forgive. Not for his sake but for your sake. God will deal with this person so put it in His Hands and forget about it. I know, easier said than done. I think God can give you the strenth to forgive so you can have peace of mind again.
