Thisis the marriage I had requested prayer for earlier, where they have been married for 43 years and Donna discovered that her husband was having an affair with her best friend "T".. although they reconciled and are seeking counceling, Alan is complaining about spending the $125/ session, and Donna is wanting to give up... the pain, betrayal, and anger are still within her. Although I have tried to minister to her she is really not listening and she is doubting what God can do. Please continue to pray for them and that God would reveal to them what life would be like if they failed to stand for their marriage.
They have both asked for prayer and they definately need God and His wisdom. Donna I know is a Christian, although she became complacent and apathectic in her walk and Alan I am not too sure about. He says he believes but he has always (admittedly even) placed himself on the "petestal" and made statements that he is God. Although he likes to joke around a lot, sometimes he says things often enough that one would come to understand that he may truly believe so. There is no doubt he does have a strong pride issue, yet, never-the-less this is a battle for the Lord.
Would you please pray that they would both be open to me forwarding a lot of the Christian material I have collected over the years for such a time as this, and that God would grant me the words I need to speak when I need to speak them and also the wisdom of when to shut up.
