Re: Thank you Jim Bob Duggar! - Testimonies of Ex-Christians Posted: 30 Sep 2009 06:13 PM PDT Kevin I don't understand the ugliness in all of your anti "xtian" comments. Well -- let's see if we can clear it up for you and help you to understand. We are just being brutally honest and perfectly blunt with our assessment of the brain disease of christianity. And although our piranha like feeding frenzy is mostly directed at christians (because they are the ones who inevitably invade the site and spew their bullshit here) it is not christianity per se that is the problem -- It's crazy-ass people (christian, muslim, buddhist, JW's, scientologist, or the ignorant) who stumble upon this site spouting unsubstantiated bullshit that has NO reference in reality. If anything, I am rallying against illogical thinking and/or magical superstitious thinking. I must admit though I do abhor christians (or any religion) who uses the -- supposed voice of god -- as their own, giving them a bogus sense of authority to push ALL their polluted agendas. If you don't like the way we voice our concerns -- you're NOT being forced to read them; so hit the bricks. --S. |

Re: It's like Cancer - ExChristian.Net - Articles Posted: 30 Sep 2009 05:44 PM PDT Mariano Here are my posts thus far: blah, blah, blah Another crummy fucking commercial? We do NOT give a shit about your website. Go peddle your infantile arguments and crack-pot delusions where the deluded sheep will gorge on the bullshit, you spew-- try here: http://www.raptureready.com/ --S. |
Re: It's like Cancer - ExChristian.Net - Articles Posted: 30 Sep 2009 05:30 PM PDT Through thinking, logic and rationality, you can be free of myth, superstition and damaging beliefs in a cruel and contradictory biblegod. It's good news. Not fear. I am free of the bullshit concept of sin. I can become all I'm designed to be, through my inherited and evolved mind, ethics, sense of justice and human love. Unspoiled by artificial, illogical, miraculous, nonsensical preachings I am free of biblegod, marymyth and HesusKrishna. Aesthetically, I'm still partial to Quetzalcoatl. |
Re: Thank you Jim Bob Duggar! - Testimonies of Ex-Christians Posted: 30 Sep 2009 05:16 PM PDT Kevin: "I don't understand the ugliness in all of your anti 'xtian' comments." Then you do not understand the purpose of our site. We have left Christianity and use this site to share our experiences. Many of those experiences were extremely negative, and we are still working through our anger. "if you are so virulently opposed to spelling and grammatical errors, why don't you tear each other apart as well as the 'xtians' who don't know how to write and spell well?" It isn't so much the writing quality, Kevin, as the fact that so many people come here and preach to us using the infamous Wall of Text method. I, Myself will tend to overlook a misplaced comma or a dangling participle if the message itself is worthwhile. "I personally know lots of non-Christians who are loving, kind, caring people." So do I. They don't tend to come here to annoy us, though... Probably because they're too busy trying to make the world a better place. I have no problem with this, and I don't go after them with My Clue-by-Four™. The ones who come to tell us we were never True Christians, that we're rebellious scum who make Baby Jebus weep, that we deserve to be eternally tortured by their infinitely good god... Those are the ones we cheerfully rend word from word and sentence from sentence. |

Re: It's like Cancer - ExChristian.Net - Articles Posted: 30 Sep 2009 04:11 PM PDT Good grief....you, again? You even take a severe beat-down on your own blog, "AtheismisDead"(which, itself, is a bold-faced lie), and you are still blabbering on about "EvilBible". From one responder.... "You[Mariano] try to make yourself to look like a victim because nobody takes you seriously (I am not surprised after reading your articles about science)." The truth hurts. F%ck off. |
Re: It's like Cancer - ExChristian.Net - Articles Posted: 30 Sep 2009 03:58 PM PDT Mariano, stick that 'Shalom' up your sorry butt. We're not interested in discussing anything with you. You disrespect the atheists in our midst, and you disrespect the very real experiences in Christianity that make us Ex-Christians. Quit whining about posts that "mysteriously disappear", and hit the road forthwith. |
Re: It's like Cancer - ExChristian.Net - Articles Posted: 30 Sep 2009 02:32 PM PDT Shalom one and all, As stated, I have been hard at work responding to every statement made at me on this comments section as well as the one that mysteriously disappeared without even leaving behind the possibility of beginning a new discussion. Here are my posts thus far: http://atheismisdead.blogspot.com/2009/09/exchr... http://atheismisdead.blogspot.com/2009/09/exchr... http://atheismisdead.blogspot.com/2009/09/exchr... |

Re: A Personal Funeral - Testimonies of Ex-Christians Posted: 30 Sep 2009 12:33 PM PDT Actually, it's not funny, it's sad. My grandmother was afraid of the microwave someone gave her- thought it was possessed. Modern appliances have been an issue with my relatives- while a microwave is now OK with my mother and her sister, a computer is not. My grandfather thought these bar codes were "the mark of the beast" or he at least considered it to be. |
Re: How I escaped the monkey trap - Testimonies of Ex-Christians Posted: 30 Sep 2009 12:31 PM PDT Your story resonates very much with me. I also searched for a long time and to no avail. At the present, I am finding faith and happiness in the testimonies of those who have had similar experiences - not just in Christianity, but all kinds of religions. Thank you for sharing, it is very much appreciated! |
