The piece on the blog talks about Christ being the light and the only way and is actually very positive, not depressing. It portrays the truth of the struggle and the reality of the victory that is ours in Him. I'm thinking perhaps you didn't read it, but are basing your comments -- which are very true regarding our Savior -- on just a little bit of what I wrote. Hi Thom H, This is really depressing. Do look to the cross and you will see hope and a beautiful saviour who gives us lots of options for an abundant life. It is our responsibility to make our life fruitful, despite the circumstances. Always look at the bright side. If we are alive, we have a choice for making things close to heaven for others , even if we are in the pits. By doing so we can get out of the pits ourselves. Life is a gift , cherish it. Good Guys, When I think of hell, I think of endless cycles . . . unrealized hope punched to breathless despair, a prize always extended, but guarded by the hounds of hell and their "you never will" growls. Sneaking and fleeing, pouncing and preying . . . over and over with the same results. And everything is black, determined to absorb and defeat any stray impulse of light. Desires to overcome acquiesce to a simple acceptance of survival. What will be will be. What should have been becomes what will never be. Hope rests on the bottom of a raging sea churning like a vast whirlpool. holding it down, burying it deeper beneath the silt of life.
