| Dear George, There is no question about God being more than One George. The Holy Spirit is His Power and Jesus Christ is His Son.But the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is called the Trinity. These three are One force , with Unity . God strengthens us through the Holy Spirit and makes himself known through the Son. This indwelling ( or the interaction) of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit is called Trinity. People like Tom Harpur predates the Son of God before Christ's birth and says it originated from paganism, some goes to the extent of mixing together Horace and Jesus as one. Whatever the theories are, Jesus Christ, was not a mere man and we ascribe Godliness to him because He said "whosoever believes in me have eternal Life. You and I cannot say this to others.Because we are not just Jesus, we are not the Way, the Truth and the Life.In His name we pray,because He said "Ask in my name and it will be given. "God sent His only begotten Son for us to have cleansing from sins. It is that interaction of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, that we refer to as Trinity.
