Re: [FamilyofGod] (unknown)
Peter,
For me personally, a wedding is a sacred thing. It is a worship service for me. I disagree that there is no need to organize for a reception. If you have one, don't you need go organize? As far as your suggestions of elders, I promise your definition of elder differs from mine. Lol. But you are right, it is about the marriage. But planning is rough sometimes

I may make you feel, but I can't make you think.
Dear Amanda, for marriage is for God, ones identified your partner,
inform pastor to inform the church and ask for joint prayers on a
specific worshipping day to join you together within one season of
prayers activity. This would a blessing season dedicated to join you.
What you might need to buy a ring, need not to organize for
receiption. We have done it like that several times. May be you can
invite pastors and two or other church elders for dinner. Weding is
all about declaring marriage publicly. Stay blessed. Peter
