| human nature thing there. just remember God says to behare of the dogs meaning gossipers/ hey pray for my daughter right ok. she is having a goofy day. she lost her only five dolars so she is going back to get. but she rides the bus system and got on the wrong bus, lost her bus pass but just found it. pray she gets her monwy back when she gets back to threads. lol i told her maybe God wanted her on this bus she is on now for some reason. love u,

so many times we are ready to listen to gossip in our churches, thats when the divisions start, and when churches begin to break apart because he give satan a foothold and he comes in and reeks havoc.

Revelation 2:18-29 "To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds. Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who do not hold to her teaching and have not learned Satan's so-called deep secrets (I will not impose any other burden on you). Only hold on to what you have until I come. 1.. OFTEN THE GREATEST DANGER TO A LOCAL CHURCH COMES FROM THE INSIDE NOT THE OUTSIDE.
Such was the case in the fellowship at Thyatira. Jesus lauded that congregation' s love, faith, service, perseverance, and increasing work for Him in their world. However, like the church Pergamum they were tolerating heresy in their midst. A woman identified as "Jezebel" (not her actual name) had proclaimed herself to be a prophet. Some in the church at Thyatira followed her teachings and were engaging in sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols, both of which are clearly condemned by the Bible, yet these folks saw themselves as still being Christian.
2.. FALSE PROPHETS: In Matthew 24 Jesus warned His disciples that in the last days many false prophets would arise, some even claiming to be Him. These false prophets will use Christian language to create a false faith. They will take the things of Jesus and add new teachings, customs, rituals, and practices. That's what "Jezebel" had done in Thyatira. Apparently her persuasive powers were of some magnitude to convince otherwise Bible-believing people to adopt anti-biblical lifestyles.
3.. THE SECRETS OF SATAN: While we may find it hard to see ourselves engaging in the immoral and idol-worshipping practices of Jezebel and her followers at Thyatira, it is not beyond reason to conceive the ease with which "good Christian folk" can be led astray by the "secrets of Satan."
A Pastor in a nearby village holds regular "labyrinth walks". People are invited to a local gymnasium to walk around a maze-like diagram laid out on the gym floor. The Pastor argues that doing so increases their spirituality and helps them "find themselves." Can someone show me where that is taught in Scripture? The whole thing smacks of "New Age" spiritualism yet a group of otherwise intelligent Christians showed up on the appointed night to engage in this act of deception.
Brothers and Sisters, if someone appears in the midst of your fellowship claiming to be a prophet of God please check their spiritual credentials! I don't mean ask for copies of their diplomas from a college or seminary. Ask for proof of the Biblical integrity of their prophetic utterances. Jesus promised us that Satan is a "wolf in sheep's clothing". Just because something walks like a duck and quacks like a duck doesn't mean it is a duck. It may well be nothing more than a decoy!
Just because someone speaks the name of Jesus, holds a Bible in their hand, wears a Pastor's vestments, or claims to speak with a prophet's voice doesn't make them either of those things. Jesus is sufficient. His Gospel is complete. His Word is unchanging. Hold on to what you have until He comes! Don't add to it and don't subtract from it!
PRAYER: Dear Lord, You taught us that we would need to be as wise as serpents and gentle as doves. We've got the gentle part down but often the wisdom is missing. In these last days false prophets of many strips are appearing, all claiming to speak for You. Keep us in the Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword. Keep us in the counsel of the Spirit who is the only person commissioned to take us into the truth. When we're tempted to add New Age teachings to Your age-old Gospel, rebuke and convict us. When it seems trendy and politically correct to engage in practices of the occult and naming them Christian, bring us to our knees in repentance.
