I understand Shirley. But knowing who God is and knowing who Christ is is very important to our salvation. Jesus prayed, " This is life eternal, that they might know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent". If a person thinks Jesus is God and he is not where does that put you? Or if a person thinks God is a man and He is not where does that put you? Just as Moses went up the mountain to talk with God and returned to find the people worshiping the golden calf so also Jesus went up to be with God and will return and find people worshiping a false god. That's why it is so important to really know God. We don't want Jesus to return and find us worshiping the wrong god. So many people have fallen into this and have no idea. I don't want them to be embarrassed when Jesus comes back.
