Some were stuck with no where to go or enough money to leave. It isn't free to relocate. No many are NOT better off. The towns that took in an unprecedented number of evacuees were not equipped to deal with the numbers. The roads couldn't handle the traffic -schools got overcrowded - there weren't enough jobs to be given to all the new folks. Better off? Not really.
A lot of people got stuck due to money or even health reasons. The ones hurt in Katrina were not all the evil people and God magically saved his "kids". There were plenty of faithful followers hurt or killed or that lost everything. How do I know for sure? I lived through it and know others that did NOT.
God's kids sometimes get hurt too. That is life. It sometimes is horrible but we cling to God through the trials. Bad stuff sometimes happens to good people. I have been abused, fired from jobs, raped and beaten by strangers, betrayed by friends, and beaten down emotionally. It wasn't because I was "doing evil" and God was needing to punish me. It was because someone else chose to do evil against me. Through it though, I held tightly to God. Bad stuff happens to God's people.

I may make you feel, but I can't make you think.
I know but I beleive that God did all he could of done to get His kids out of there. God knew in his foreknowledge that it was going to happen and those who reconized his warnings and interventions left the area before it even hit. it grieved God's heart soooooo to see so many get hurt , killed . but the evil things things that those god rejectors were doing were bad. those that had to relocate i hope are better off now. love u, Shirley La Fave --- On Thu, 7/1/10, Amanda Webster-Sibal <oneoddduck3@ yahoo.com> wrote:
