[FamilyofGod] Faith cult
There is a cult out there that teaches that if you say it you will get it. They say if you visualize it it is yours. I think the nickname for this movement is called "blab it and grab it". Jesus said "When you pray use not vain repetitions like the heathen do for your Father knows what you have need of before you ask".
Visualization is also another pagan tradition that has infiltrated much of the church. We have to be careful not to pick up these pagan traditions. Don't get me wrong though. Prayer is the most important thing in our relationship with God.
We just have to think like a child with his Father when we pray. Our Father wants us to ask but more importantly He want us to come to Him and have a relationship.
He wants us to reason with Him on things just as you would do with your earthly father. God knows our needs but also want us to know what we really need.
