"But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer." (Psalm 66:19)
WORLD LEADERS. "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence" (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius of Lithuania (eastern Europe, east of the Baltic Sea).
NORTHERN AFRICAN AND MIDDLE EASTERN PEOPLES. You may remember seeing pictures of the people crowded into Tahrir Square in Cairo. Other Arab countries also have that name on the squares in the center of town. Tahrir means "freedom." People are crying out for freedom. They want to pursue their own ideas. They want corruption to stop. They want equality. Pray that the people of northern Africa and the Middle East will find out what real freedom is. Ask that they will hear about freedom from sin, freedom from worry, and freedom to one day be in heaven.
SAUDI ARABS OF SAUDI ARABIA (SAU-dee). A large book exhibition is coming to a neighboring country of Saudi Arabia that many Saudis visit. There will be secular and Christian books, including Bibles, in different languages. Please pray that Saudis will hear about the exhibition and visit. Pray that seekers will purchase the books they need and encounter staff who will share God's truth with them.
SUSU OF GUINEA (SOO-soo). The discipleship/leadership training conference that had originally been planned for October/November had to be rescheduled, and is now being held on March 2-6. A main part of the program involves teaching inductive Bible study using the new Susu New Testament. The participants have traveled to the conference from various parts of Guinea, and from neighboring countries as well. Pray that as they return to their villages and towns, they will share what they have learned as they distribute the New Testaments. Pray that many people will be open to receiving the Scriptures, and to hearing the Good News.
