[Awake4HisReturn] Practicing our Faith

If you have ever learned to play a musical instrument you will notice that it takes a lot of practice to get good at it.  Like the old saying goes,  "Practice makes perfect."  All the great guitarists have to practice hours a day.  Segovia,  who was one of the best guitarists in the world said that when he learned a song it would take two years of practice before he was ready to play it in a concert.

This also holds true with our Christian walk. We have to practice to do what is right.  The more we practice doing the will of God the easier it gets.  The other side of the coin is the practice of lawlessness.  If we are constantly practicing sin it becomes "second nature" to us.    On judgment day  Jesus will say to many,  "Depart from me you who practice lawlessness".  Practice to do the will of God and he will say to you,  "Enter into the joy of the Lord."
