I am sorry I have not been around for a while, but again God answered our prayers, but in different way. I had asked prayer that my day job would go full time, but God gave me the full time position on my 2nd job. So now I have been working from 8am-12:15pm and 3pm-11pm six days a week with mandated meetings and trainings of up to 8hrs on my days off, plus attend classes from 1pm-2:15pm during the week. I am exhausted, and I still desired for my day postion to go full time and reduce the hours on my evening job. It pays half the the money as my day job, demands more time away from my husband and children, puts a strain on the reconciliation of my marriage, compromises my education, and the owner is refusing to pay us wages when she pays for training even though it is against the law. And if I leave school again, just to work both jobs, then I will continue this cycle of working 2+ jobs so as to just barely survive, and I am getting to old to do this anymore. I can feel the wear and tear on myself because of it.
My day job (which God orchestrated a series of events to get me in there) has informed me, that my position will likely get merged with another part-time position to become full-time (98% chance it will) despite the budget. The other person has a lot of senority but has declined working full-time for years, and is near retirement, so there is a 50-75% chance I can get the position if she does not want to go full-time, but what complicates things is layoffs and bumping. Although there is no bumping from one facility to another, someone who has worked as an Admin Asst II before, with more seniority can get the postion over me. Therefore, this battle will be won on my knees, with the saints.
Speaking of battles, I have to fly back to MA for a deposition, and I need prayer. For God to put a guard over my mouth, grant my attorney and me godly wisdom, discernment, the ability to remember details, speak truth, and rest in His peace. Pray that God's felt presense will be with me whereever I go and that He will remind me continuously of His promises. I need Him to fight this battle for me and I am committing myself to His care and all that concerns us.
