[Church_of_Christ] Obey Commands
There are 2 types of narrative that the NT can easily be broken down into.
1) Thoes things they practiced in freedom.
2) Those things they were commanded to do.
When we read the NT narrative, one can easily determine if the follower/followers are doing
some thing or completing some act because they are commanded to do that specific thing or act or not.
One only needs to see if a command is given that produces that action or thing that they are doing that is recorded in the narrative.
While reading the text and we observe an action that followers are seen doing, prompted by a command, then we would be wise to obey that command, which should produce the same actions in our lives.
There patterns or example when we read them are simply being done by them, freed from being commanded to do otherwise.
Jesus said, if you love me you will keep my commandments.
That is a pretty straight forward statement isn't it?
