They are certainly nice to have when I discover something and realise that someone has already been there. Do I trust them for complete accuracy? No. Paul spells out in Galatians 2 that we ought not place our trust in flesh and blood, no matter how great they may appear in human terms.
Thanks for your input and I think most people who assemble where a creed is used feel the same way. But the creed bashers seem to think that those who use a creed have thrown their Bibles away and are force feed a heresy which is simply not the case at all.
