I understand your "circular" argument problem.
But do you understand my problem?
There was a time when I DID believe people could raise the dead like Paul did at Troas.
I was a child once too.
Where did that get me?
I searched for someone who had that gift and any other supernatural gift but I didn't find one.
No gifts of unknown tongues, no gifts of interpretation, no gifts of miracles, as much as I was seeking, I found nothing.
Then, I put away childish things.
Either the promise was NOT for all believers for all time or God wasn't keeping His promises.
Well, I still believe God and His Word and I've concluded the promise wasn't for all believers for all time.

You will see it when you believe it and not before. Not to mention that if you really DID believe it upon seeing it, then your claim to believe that the gifts have ceased is false. YOu can repeat yourself to the end of the world, your argument will remain circular and Jesus will still disagree with you. Ray
