[Church_of_Christ] Re: Holy Spirit 3

This ping-pong back-and-forth dialogue makes it fairly obvious, at
least to me, that the issue of what the "perfect" is, and what ramifications the 1 Cor 13 passage has for the cessation of
miraculous gifts, is not a clearly-stated doctrine of the Bible.
Clay's response:
Those are my cinnamons ;)exactly.
It seems to me, self included WE all try to prove way too much with what little we have written.
Further proof to me we were released from law.
We now walk by the Spirit and our job is to stay in step with the Spirit of the living God.
It was not meant for us to be divided over trivia pursuits.
Man get's a standing "O" for that development and Satan gets an A+.
If "someone" can speak in tongues, then let them remain silent
unless an iterpreter is present.
If he can heal the sick, then I say let him heal them.
If he can walk on water, I have no problem with that.Remove shoes!
If he can raise the dead, call CNN and prove to the world that Jesus
was indeed the Messiah and I have no problem with that either.
I just do not understand why we get so upset when followers "think" they can still do miracles.
"IF" gifts have ceased they are phonies.
"IF" they have not ceased, then let them use them.
Grace and peace Clay
