The definitions are fine, but your statement 'revelation reveals information' is still your assumption. I could assert that three of these verse you posted deal with understanding, but we'd be back where we started.
Actually, there are different types of revelation and different methods. Sometimes revelation provides information, sometimes understanding, sometimes imparting character to the heart. There is more than one kind and more than one purpose for revelation.
The issue before THIS DISCUSSION is whether the TYPE of revelation in I Cor 13 regards information or understanding. Posting verses won't solve it. IF a person rejects revelation as a means of communicating understanding, then that person won't see that concept in the word at all.
Ed, to really deal with this topic, we would have to address the nature of revelation itself, which means stepping completely outside the bible altogether and dealing with the concept. If you truly believe that the word of God itself is enough for us to deal with this issue, then we are at an impasse. I'm still willing to discuss this with you, but ultimately we have to discuss extrabiblical questions to resolve the matter.
