Wow what a gift of love. To have found all those socks and been able to repair them and give them out. I'm sure the children were so blessed.

I have been making hats for children every since 1984, I begun in Mexico, bringing them to the cold areas and giving them to the children, they had no hats, no shoes nothing to keep them warm and even there homes had no heat. We have brought in hundreds of pairs of shoes and given them to the children trying on each pair to be sure they got a pair that fit them right. It was such a blessing to see them light up with happiness to have a hat or pair of shoes.

Now I make hats and give them to my daughter in law a school teacher she gives them to the needy children in the community, I make anywhere from 60 to one hundred a year. I get thank you notes from the children from time to time, and they are so grateful to have a hat to where when it is cold out. This year I am making enough hats for every child in the school.

I found a place in tennesee that was selling off run socks by the bag for a few dollars. I would take them home and fix the flaws in the socks and give them to the kids around the nieghborhood that didn't have socks to wear, it was winter and I probably went thru 50 bags of socks with 3 to 4 hundred pair in each bag.

God has blessed me in many ways. I had a friend here that started a trend, she bought me this beautiful angel. She is porcelan and has a fibre optic light show around her. After that it seems like everyone started giving me angels. I have a collection now. She helped us by taking quilts and blankets, hats and gloves to people living in dumpsters trying to stay warm.. Some of them are families that have lost their homes jobs etc.

This is quite a nice group that we have here. When you see a prayer request posted , do pray for them. It would make such a diffrence to them.
