I "think" I understand your point.

My point is we oppose it NOW because NOW is when it is being promoted
to change the existing law.

You are correct, it is not against the law of the land to commit a lot of sins, yet we as the church do not attempt to make laws to oppose them.

We do not NOW attempt to make a law aginst Gay marriage.

It is on the minds of practically every American.

They generally are either for it or against it for it is the current thing to either be for or be aginst.

Those that wish to oppose it would best do it now in my opinion while it is a issue while it is expected for people to present their position on the issue.

I agree when the law is changed, then we need to accept it as a law of the land. But it has not become final and the supreme Court is still considering what the final outcome will be.

Where I disagree with you is while it is an issue the church "in my opinion" would be wise to let the government know we STILL think it's sin. Some churches believe it is not sin.

Failing to speak, while everyone else is speaking, appears to me to be an indicator we do not disagree.

Your "opinion" is we should remain silent.

My "opinion" is we should speak now and remain silent AFTER it becomes law.

Then when the age that two males may become married or have sex,
then we need to oppose that too. Because I believe we will see the day when that NEW law is propossed.

I agree we don't need to introduce church sanctioned laws to force Americans to do anything.

Some few laws remain.

I just think you might consider it is the thing that we currently face as Americans and Christians and the church at this time, that
WE DO NOT strike down previously held marriage law and allow gays
to become married under a NEW LAW.

I was not trying to misrepresent you, I just don't agree with you
BUT that's OK, I suspect you nor anyone else agrees with everything
I bring up either and as you said this is the place to dialogue
those differences.
