I can't help but be reminded of Proverbs 18.17:
> The first to state his case seems right

This ping-pong back-and-forth dialogue makes it fairly obvious, at least
to me, that the issue of what the "perfect" is, and what ramifications
the 1 Cor 13 passage has for the cessation of miraculous gifts, is not a
clearly-stated doctrine of the Bible. Whatever conclusions we come to,
it seems that a hefty dose of human logic must be applied. Thus, I would
encourage all parties to hold your conclusions lightly; human logic, no
matter how seemingly impeccable, is not to be trusted.
Feel free to keep ping-ponging; I think it's great dialogue, and
hopefully we're all learning. But I'd suggest hesitance in claiming that
a definitive answer has been ascertained.
