Nope. I'm not a big fan of Obama. I'm not even a small one. In fact, I wanted McCain to win the presidency because I am more impressed with his public service record.

I am not a teacher. I could not even picture myself as one. I feel that I am not worthy to be, so kudos to the teachers that you have mentioned here in the group. I daresay that they know very well God's words. In fact, I am a timid man; always hesitant to participate whenever there's a group discussion on our church. Let's just say that "something" (& I hope it's the Holy Spirit) suddenly "urged" me to give those words on my previous posts. & now, I'm back to my old meek self.

I am humbled by your very words. I could not have explained it much better as you did. Thank you & God Bless you, too! :-)

Dear John Torre, Praise the Lord! I will first say to you that there is valuable teaching in your letter responding to the commentaries on Our President of The United States of America, Barack Obama. All the things that you say are biblical and in the Word of God, the Bible. We as followers of God NEED TO KNOW  exactly what is required of us, as followers of Jesus Christ. ( I use the "tongue " loosely as im referring to "written words  as well) The bible says that with our tongue, one can ignite a forrest. This little tongue of ours can spew words that once put out into cyberspace, can be tools for satan. Personally, there is a scripture that has really helped me to bridle my tongue as far as gossip and repeating rumors; The Bible states that we will have to give an account to God for "EVERY WORD THAT COMES OUT OF OUR MOUTH". Can you imagine? The media is a very poor source of truth. I say that not so much criticizing as much as
 enlightening. They are mostly chasing the big headlines and can "make" a man or "destroy" one. This is because so many people take their words as truth. I am thankful for full coverage news and would not trade it for any other. This wide range helps me to add it all up and come to my own conclusion.. I'd say that you are a very well rounded Christian in your Knowledge of how we are to act as a Christian. Are you a teacher?( How can they hear without a teacher?) Here at the Family of God Group, we have some wonderful teachers and biblical scholars. I hope that you will not be offended by this lively discourse but will continue to give us that "meat" (WORD).  If we as Believers don't delve into the Word,  much that we need to know about Godliness, we will never learn.
