I don't think what we have now is "the mark of the beast"  yet.  But I do believe that all the technology is there for when this evil ruler takes control and tries to moniter all the people.  We do have to be ready so we are not decieved into following this diabolical leader.  I personally don't believe the "rapture" will save people either.  Many Christians will die for thier faith just as Jesus himself died for his faith.

God is one,  George....

The following words are very common and were not included in your search: "of" "the"
1.Revelation 13:17
so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
Revelation 13:16-18 (in Context) Revelation 13 (Whole Chapter)
2.Revelation 14:9
A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand,
Revelation 14:8-10 (in Context) Revelation 14 (Whole Chapter)
3.Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
Revelation 14:10-12 (in Context) Revelation 14 (Whole Chapter)
4.Revelation 16:2
The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.
Revelation 16:1-3 (in Context) Revelation 16 (Whole Chapter)
5.Revelation 19:20
But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Revelation 19:19-21 (in Context) Revelation 19 (Whole Chapter)
6.Revelation 20:4
I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:3-5 (in Context) Revelation 20 (Whole Chapter)

There's just too much fuss about this RFID. It can't be used as an identifier for a mandatory payment system. Such a system becomes legal tender; cash, checks, and plastic cards will be withdrawn. Think about it: Any number of protesters could refuse the chip because of perceived risks of allergies and cancer. Those who change their minds can have them removed. Muggers would go around equipped with scalpels. It's a complex device and prone to failure like any other piece of electronics. Banks are too smart to commit themselves to something that unreliable.

Check out my free e-book Walkabout: The History of a Brief Century for a banker's view of how the Mark of the Beast will be designed.
