Beth,
I'm sensing a tone of sarcasm here. I must assure you that I'm in no
way suggesting that I have a monopoly on understanding the biblical
text. I do strive very hard to interpret the biblical text accurately,
as do so many others. It is a task to be done in community with other
believers and students of the written witness of Scripture.
My point to Shawn was one of contrasting those who hold dogmatic
opinions above understanding the biblical text. Unfortunately there are
those who don't know the difference (for whatever reason). Let's
examine the Scriptures together, Beth.
