It would be an honor to pray for you. Let me give you a verse that was
given to me one day before my first grandson died suddenly of SIDS.
Isaiah 61:1- 3 (KJV)
The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me
to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hast sent me to tho bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of
prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance or
our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for
ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit
of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the
planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Heavenly Father,
I want to thank YOU and praise YOU for YOUR word. For YOUR word gives us
hope when there is no hope. I ask that you give my dear sister beauty
for her ashes, the oil of joy for her mourning. For we know that the joy
of the LORD is our strength. Strengthen this dear sister. Hold her in
the palm of YOUR hands. Wrap YOUR loving arms around her. Let her feel
YOUR presence. Give her the garment of praise for her heaviness. Give
her YOUR peace that passes all understanding. Let her be a testimony of
YOUR love to all those around her and the people that she might meet
along her path in life. For she and I both know that with YOU she cannot
bear this burden of sorrow alone. We agree together for these things
that I have asked of YOU almighty FATHER.
We praise YOUR wonderful mighty name. WE give YOU all of our glory for
the mighty works that YOU have performed and that YOU are going to
perform. We thank YOU.
