Family of God: Re: [FamilyofGod] give.... , Why?

Are we really poor. my understanding of the word poor is humble. humble in spirit or lowliness of heart. i like that defination better. we aren't really poor our Dady owns a cattle on a thousand hills. everything is his and he gave all he has to use his kids. we just have to somehow tap into how to get it or claim it as ours and beleive that we already have all that we ask or think and more.

We were talking about money the other day and it occured to me that there is a much more awful way to be poor
I was thinking about how concerned we are with out ward money and 'stuff"
and we over look the real purpose of life. We heap up this and that 'thing" and are , many of us, totally 'bankrupt" on our insides.
The worst kind of poverty is the kind that just makes us "takers "instead of givers.
We become so selfish and self serving that we never think of others.
the Bible tells us to love one another, to give and it will be given ' treat others like you'd like to be treated....
but in our quest to satisfy our selves we think "I will when I get some first.
The truth is," Give and it will be given"
Greed keeps us from blessing ourselves by our lust for our wants for ourselves instead of others, others suffer and we start an awful cycle of slfishness that never will meet our needs.
We chose not to believe that God would provide for us if we provide for others and show our lack of faith by doing so.
The loneliest and most poverty stricken are those who can't love and give as they have made themselves an island no one can come to
and no one wants to come to.

Jesus prayed that we would be one.... satan wants us to stay apart unity of purpose and a heart of LOVE will make the power of God flow in and through us .
The Love of God is shed abroad through the Holy Spirit that is given us so why do we shut God down when he gives first and then telss us to give his love away? It is because we need to learn to trust God in faith that " there is a river that flows from deep within, there is a river that never shall run dry......
God so loved that he gave why not us??
