I had a very hard time loving some family members. They do not want me to be Christian and they have done such things as hide my glasses so I can't read the Bible, not pay the car insurance so I wont go to chuch, whisper to me that they will take my kids to their native land so as to make me afraid of going to church.

This was years ago, and the situation has calmed down a little (though I am packed and ready to go should they start again).

in any case, I stuggled with bitterness and hatred. And God cannot dwell on such a bad place as a heart that has those feelings. I could not tell myself to feel love when I really didn't. So I told Jesus. And drew near to him. and he has taken the anger and bitterness away. I am free of those thoughts of revenge and have a closer walk with the lord.

but to achieve anything close to unconditional love as in Corinthians 13, one must be

steadfast in prayers asking God. I don't think we can do this without him.

Hey all,
I have a question for everyone that I need help on. Something I dont really understand. What is real love, the kind that comes from the heart? I've been having a hard time understanding.. I mean, I think I get it somewhat in my head but, I'm not really sure. Please help me would you?
