Hi Eric. There never was anything wrong with the "Jewish God". In fact Jesus came to show us and bring us to the "Jewish God". Judaism becomes comeplete through the coming of Christ. Jesus has become the sacrifice for our sins just as the Jewish sacrifices showed in the old testament. Of course God is not Jewish or anything else because God is not a man but He is the God of the Jews. When we accept Christ the Jew we become part of that family of God. I suggest you go to a good church and get baptized into Christ as Jesus commanded. Then seek God with all your heart and learn about Jesus and how to be like him.

Subject: [FamilyofGod] I've accepted Christ
After much thought, prayer and soul searching the Truth has come to me. I absolutely believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for my sins and that He rose to Heaven to take His place beside His Father. I've accepted Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior.
The question is, what do I do now? I was born Jewish, but I don't really believe in the "Jewish God" anymore. I never really did. My wife's Jewish, and she'll probably leave me if she finds out I want to formally convert. By the way, is there a "formal conversion" process I have to go through? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please post comments or send me email.
