Thank You Abba, for tears that fall

Thank You for the cleansing true

Thank You for teaching, that no wall

Need come between me and You

Because of sadness, grief or pain

For You understand these things

And joy does not mean I'm right as rain

But that of hope my heart sings

Thank You for freedom to groan or sigh

To tell to You truly my needs

For truth, such a diamond, rises me high

Even when agony impeeds

Thank You for promises of grief's fruit

Beauty from ashes, sweet praise

Thank You for all that kills bitter root

Which lying "happiness" will raise

Truth, the most beautiful wonder there is

For the spirit of humankind

Truth revealed to us by path of Jesus

That demon lies' chains cannot bind.
