Winter cannot take a pill
To make summer weather
Steaming heat is not a thrill
And in it wilts the heather
Storms that come must be endured
Lessons from them are learned
Blighted branches cut will make cured
Trees' disease, then rightly turned
It will rise up tall and strong
Clean and pure and bright
Bearing fruitage, resounding song
Leaves reflecting Light
As long as planet earth turns 'round
And exists the flesh upon it
Seasons will humanity pound
But shelter of Christ's merit
Protects seed planted, life eternal
In death keeping it alive
Though flesh may melt, that Divine kernal
Will forever live and thrive!
