[FamilyofGod] Day 3: Your prayers: It even gets better!!!
Wow!!! Today seemingly didn't start out too well. I went to leave for work and my battery was dead so I had to call a cab and I entered work about 13 min. late. I reported to duty in a secluded area and I relieved my co-worker John who stood and spoke with me for almost an hour. He gave me his support, understanding and encouragement, even though I didn't speak of the events. Also he let me know that he was a friend and did not support what I am going through. He was so kind and I am so grateful.. Well, it gets better… I was able to spend a lot of quiet time crying and praying out to God about my situation. I told him how tired I was, how alone I felt and so isolated, as the conversation with John had not impacted me until now as I write to you. I was too busy feeling sorry for myself to see the blessings. Anyway, toward the end of the day I called a cab to pick me up, but two other co-workers, Eddie and Adam learned of my situation and offered me a ride home, to which I thankfully agreed. Eddie not only took me there but went home picked up his cables and got my car started for me so that I could drive to the auto store to get a battery. As I write to you, I am getting ready to go over to my husband, Richard's, house. He had invited me over hours ago but I made him wait since I need to cook and get cleaned up. I really didn't expect to hear from him for another three weeks or so. I am more nervous than excited, so please pray for us right now, as I feel like a teenager on her first date. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers, I will keep you updated. |
