Shelley...we'll do the 'let's picture' thing.

Picture Jesus sitting beside you, He puts His one arm around you and His one hand on your hand. He softly speaks to you and tells you that He is your Comfort. He tells you that He knows you are hurting and that you are afraid to go thru the symptoms of withdrawal again, but He tells you to trust Him to help you thru this time. He reminds you that He went thru unimaginable pain and suffering, on your behalf, on the Cross and that He would be willing to do it again, if He thought it would take away your physical pain....but, He knows that it wouldn't, so instead of His enduring THAT particular pain again, He wants to take YOUR pain upon Himself....He'll carry you thru it, if you will give it over to Him. He'll be there when it becomes hard for you....you can cry on His broad shoulders and He will comfort you. You can yell at Him that this isn't fair that YOU have to keep going thru this hell...and He will be there for you STILL....He KNOWS how unfair it all seems....He's been there Himself. Now, lay on your bed and feel His soothing touch on your head, on your arms, legs, and back. He is gently massaging the pain out of each joint. He tells you to sleep and He will keep watch over you.
