Family of God: [FamilyofGod] PROFOUND Praise Report! :-)

dear FG brothers and sisters!

I just wanted to "drop" this message from the office here in town at 9:57 AM Hawaii Time/12:57 PM Pacific Time to share an ongoing praise report with you'all. Yes, with all of my being I want to thank our Lord Jesus Christ for using:

--my physical blindness as a tool to sharpen the gift of spiritual eyesight and discernment which He had blessed me with many years ago.

--my long-time unemployment of thirteen years as a tool to deepen my dependence upon Him for every single financial and practical need I could ever incur on a daily basis as a full-time minister of both the Gospel to the lost and words of exhortation from His Word to the saints.

--my perpetually strained relationships with my Earthly family members as tools to remind me that my familial inheritance rests in the spiritual realm instead of in the flesh n' blood realm.

--the deaths of my saved father and two fiances and of my unsaved loved ones and friends as tools to teach me to acquire an appreciation for and preference of an ETERNAL perspective on everything instead of an Earthly one and for using this perspective to teach me to store up treasures for myself in Heaven instead of on this Earth.

--persecution I endure from both within and outside the Church to show me that He alone is perfectly faithful, trustworthy, dependable and loving He really is and that He can be trusted with all my emotional AND spiritual neediness and weaknesses.

--my chronic ailments of asthma, hypoglycemia and sinusitis as daily reminders to me that, even though my body is slowly wasting away, I am being renewed inside minute by minute and readied by Him for the glorified and noncorruptible body that He'll bless me with in the hereafter to come.

--periods of personal loneliness while I was ministering to others within the past five years as tools to remind me that even though He was accompanied by His disciples while serving the peoples of the world during His three-year ministry He, too, was ultimately abandoned at the Cross when they all forsook Him and fled. He didn't just tell me, "I understand what you're going through" whenever my loneliness desensitized me to His presence within me and around me but He also reminded me that He had endured loneliness of the extreme form and yet triumphed OVER it!

Take care, and God bless each of you in FG--especially folks like George (group-owner), Val and Shelley--as you continue to seek the empowerment and presence of the Holy Spirit while you grow in the knowledge and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
