Shelly, it is said that "You do not know what it's like to be hurt until you have been hurt by a Christian who is out of fellowship with God." I find this to be incredibly true, as Satan will use those who are his and those who lend themselves (Christian's out of fellowship with God) to him for his purpose. Do not shrink back dear and attribute Sonny's behavior as something God sent to you. Did He allow it? Yes, but for a greater purpose.. Perhaps to get her the help she needs and to get both of you focused upon Him and not your circumstances. Also it appears as though Sonny is reacting to you as a result of a chemical imbalance that has been made worse by some stimulants. If this is so, then take this into account, she is not the right state of mind and needs help to which she will get, hopefully, in this institution. And if her condition can be controlled by medication she may or may not remember the events that have happened between you. If she should remember, I would hope that she repents, however, if not, then you are still commissioned to forgive her by our Lord. Yet, you are not commissioned to trust her or allow her to continue to be an intimate part of your life, unless you are convicted so by the Holy Spirit and NOT OF EMOTIONALISM. In any event, I suggest that you take this time to remain in fellowship with believers who will encourage you in the Lord, praying for you and your spiritual growth and holding you accountable as we do each other to His truths. We love you and you are a part of us and we need you as you are in the body of Christ Jesus and a valuable part at that. Please stay with us and pray with us. We need you, just as much as you need us.
