I loved your response so much! One particular verse from Proverbs came to my mind when you had mentioned that God would much rather I be God-reliant for all my needs while serving Him full-time than to be Jolene-reliant and depend on myself for these things. Granted, there's nothing wrong with working at a paying job full-time or part-time, but somebody in the Body of Christ has to be busy with the Lord's work full-time, whether they get paid for it or not. The humbling part comes when they do it as a labor of love for Him first and then His children--without pay...because when Jesus served in His Earthly ministry for the last three years of His life before His crucifixion, He never got paid cash for serving the Jews 24/7! And now, Wanda, He is calling me to be that kind of a servant to others--regardless of the fact that I'm blind and must use a red-and-white guide cane to get around. I know that Jesus, my Perfect Boss and Lord, sure loves and delights in broken vessels!
