Subject: [FamilyofGod] Info On Good Prayer Groups?
I'm pretty new at prayer being my "main/full time" ministry. I've found a few really good groups and websites, but I'm open if anyone knows of others.
I know there may come a time when I get overloaded and God will need to lead me as to which ones he wants me to stick with...not saying the others might not be good, just that I want to follow where God is specifically guiding me. For now, I have a bit of spare time still.
As a blind person, some of the websites for prayers are too involved for it to be effectual. Example: some have you click on one link to click on another before you are at the request. And if you want to answer...
Most of the time, I find email works best, but there are a few very good websites I have found.
So far, I have found these three to be wonderful. Family of God, URCTC2, and prayer Can Help; all yahoo groups. There are one or two other yahoogroups, but they get one or two short emails a day.
I also found that Gracenthetruth has a terrific email as does Right From the Knees, this is a subgroup of Right from the Heart.
Our Prayer, which is a subgroup of Guide Posts, has a very easy to use a big prayer website, but getting registered is proving to be difficult with my talking program. (They use those graphic things, and their vocal substitute isn't working very well. As with my Yahoogroups, I may need sighted assistance, but I can read the website, I just can't respond. When I can, I like the option of responding to give the prayer support.
The Prayer Foundation is both a good resource for prayer warriors as well as having a prayer requests page..
I've found a number of good sources for missionary things as well as the persecuted church. I get Compass Direct from a friend of mine as well as some things from Open Doors and Voice of the Martyrs.
I know this sounds like a lot, but a number of these places have only a few requests a week. Sometimes, it can go a month or so before I get anything.
Thanks for any new thoughts.
May God bless all my fellow prayer warriors.
Blessings,
Tina
