I hope you don't mind me responding to your message, especially since it wasn't addressed to me, but please let me say this in rejoicing and love:

I'm very relieved that you don't want to rehash your past and so forth, because Satan will try to use it as a weapon to accuse you before your face AND before God, so-call "justifying" why he feels you aren't a child of God. As I like to say to so many Christians who are measuring their progress in Christ Jesus by the yardstick of their past mistakes, "Christianity is progressive, not regressive." I'll be in prayer for you, I promise, because I myself need to move forward and not let my nonbelieving relatives hamper my Christian growth on the basis of what I used to be and how I am in their own minds; if they want to see me from the perspective of my past, that's their problem, not mines.
